New Inscription Profession
Inscription will be a profession which enhances/alters spells and abilities. It will also create new items. For example it can alter the cooldown or increase the crit-rate of specific spells. Inscription will not be like alchemy or enchanting, it will create scrolls. The upgrades themselves won’t be too powerful so that Blizzard doesn’t have too much balance issues.
***Gathering Professions now have passive buffs (Highest ranks are only listed):
- Mining: Toughness - increases maximum health by 500
- Skinning: Master of Anatomy - raises crit chance by 25
- Herbalism: Wild Growth - heals self for 2000 over 15 seconds
***Inscription:
- Inscription: It will allow you to augment the cooldown, damage, or mechanics (stun, knockback, DoT, HoT, etc.) of a spell. It will have two aspects: augmentation of abilities and spells with the creation of a new type of item ("scrolls", for example, from ink, parchment, and other reagents). Every player will get a new spell book page to which they can add six glyphs currently, three major and three minor. A sub-skill called Milling will accompany Inscription that will produce reagents (pigments) from herbs similar to how the Prospecting sub-skill of Jewelcrafting works.
- Alchemy: Mixology - will gain an increased effect from imbibing a flask or elixir that you know how to create
